Cuban Missle Crisis: Caused Tension in Cold War


The USSR was shipping weapons to Cuba. This caused tension in the United States because we were in the firing range of their missiles. Panic spread around the United States and peoples lives were at stake. U-2 planes took pictures and found the missiles. Many, many missiles. Cuba denied the possession and Kennedy decided to announce to the United States that the use of the Cuban missiles could lead to United States attack on the Cuba. There was a possibility of Nuclear War. Cuba and the United States made an agreement after Cuba admitted to having the missiles, that both superpowers were to disable their nuclear weapons.
